Winery Description: Allegro Winery, located in the rolling hills of southern York County, Pennsylvania, was founded in 1980 by musician brothers John and Tim Crouch. The Crouches revitalized a neglected vineyard and became pioneers in the region, introducing French oak barrel aging and focusing on classic European grape varieties. After their passing, Carl Helrich and Kris Miller took over the winery in 2001, bringing a blend of scientific precision and artistic passion. Under their leadership, Allegro has expanded production and reach, including the acquisition of the former Naylor Wine Cellars in 2020. Today, Allegro is known for its diverse portfolio of wines—from dry reds and whites to fruit and spiced varieties—earning a strong reputation as one of Pennsylvania’s leading wineries.
