WineRelease.com's April 15, 2014 Monthly Newsletter.

Greetings from WineRelease.com, now 2,025 winery listings strong.

Welcome to Spring! In many parts of the country (like the west coast), we’ve had great weather, followed by more great weather. Over the past month, we’ve spent most weekends up in the Napa Valley, working on the farmhouse and enjoying the area. Our new favorite find is Long Meadow Ranch, which is home to Farmstead Restaurant. They do a great happy hour from 4:00-6:00pm (M-F) on the patio outside the restaurant, complete with live music on Fridays, and a great mix of locals and tourists. The pulled pork nachos (at $5) can’t be missed. Bring your dog, grab a stool, and a cocktail and enjoy the people watching.

Long Meadow Ranch also hosted their first annual Easter egg hunt this past weekend. Over 100 kids were signed up, and although we were 10 minutes early, we missed the hunt. The people were great, though, and scrounged up a handful of eggs for us and now our two-year-old can’t stop talking about the EAS-TER BUNNYYYYYYYY!

Recently, we’ve been wine tasting at a few of our ‘neighborhood’ wineries and I wanted to highlight a few. T-Vine Cellars (on the border of Napa and Calistoga, on Highway 29) offers a really nice tasting, featuring their Grenache and Syrah, as well as a good Zin. Ask for Mamie - super knowledgeable and has great local tips for your visit. Hall Winery has a relatively new facility that is truly a work of art. Walk in the front door and you’ll be escorted upstairs to the tasting room, which overlooks a gorgeous view of the valley and the barrel room. We took our glasses out to the balcony to really enjoy the view - not a bad way to spend a Friday afternoon.

This weekend we’re hosting my wife’s extended family for a 20+ person Easter lunch, complete with my Paella Valenciana, a world-class Easter egg hunt, and a few choice wines….

And now, onto the wines...
